"It's a long time comin" =D

I really wish a had a better grasp on these colloquial terms. =P oh well.

Hi all,
I wanted to inform you all of our need to raise funds, ASAP.
We've had some great ideas, so it is now time to implement them.
Could someone ask all students to gather sellable items to bring on Friday-Sunday?
It would also be great if someone could help us post some of the items to sell online...
I have a bed, a computer desk, and possibly a computer to sell.

I would also like to invite anyone to my home to make baked goods on Saturday evening at 6:30PM. Should be great fun.

That's all for now... Did I mention that I am super duper joyful to be a part of this team.
Love you all.

Scott's Half Court Shot (The Legend)

Fun Music

Yang JDSN already suggested "King Jesus is All"... so that's on the list for this weekend.

Some more ideas for fun songs:
"Deep, deep"
"I am a C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N"
"Will ya won't ya" (will ya won't ya ain't ya gonna)
"Grace, grace, Lord I thank You for grace"

Ideas for our Ministry

1) Prayer for people needing the Lord/ or are not in a church. I think this should be part of our ministry, to be conscious of the less fortunate, and include it perhaps the announcements. I asked for some of the mature people (Connie, Eric, Scott) to pray for Emily Noona to join our Bible Study. Other people to pray for include Edward Lee, Chloe, Robin Kim, Abe, and Hannah.

2) Band Practice: Fridays 5-7pm, Children's room. We need people to teach us about being a Sound technicians... People involved are: Ben, Eric, Scott, Michelle, and Chris. Hope to make sure that we have all necessary equipment: Drums, Bass, Keyboard, Speakers, Mics, Cables, and Mixers.

3) Parent's Appreciation Night: Chris recommended doing Parents Appreciation Night. A night organized by Awaken Ministries to prepare dinner and games for the parents... Youth could act as servers, and serve all the parents, and just make it a night of service. =)

4) Garage Sale: Michelle thinks it will work to raise Youth Funds. Says she has a lot of junk.

5) Birthdays: Need a system to remember birthdays, and announce birthdays at the first of each month.

Prayer requests for Awaken and our leaders

Dear family-

I have 3 prayer requests:

1) Sermon on Sunday: I (Daniel Park) will be giving a message to Awaken ministries on Sunday. Please pray for me as I prepare the topic and try to understand how God wants to communicate with the High School group.

2) Genesis Bible Study: Roh MJN and I will begin leading Genesis Bible Study for the High School group beginning this Friday. Please pray for that we will lead effectively, and the High School group will learn about God's Word through this time.

3) Praise Team: Awaken Ministry has begun Worship Practice every Friday, 5-7pm, at church. Please pray for us, and especially me, as a leader, since I have very little experience building a praise team. Please pray that we will honor God with our music and performances.

Thank you so much for your prayers.

Sincerely,

Daniel Park

The Legend of 곰오빠 Part II

So good, so so good to me.

What an amazing weekend... and it's only Sunday morning, 12:35 AM.

The weekend was packed with beauty. From Friday night, with our appreciation night for Bryan, aka "곰오빠", to Saturday night, with an awesome day of hanging out with Scarlet, Scott, and Susie.

Friday: Irene, Emily누나, Abe, Hannah, Andy, Angela, and Jeff attended... wow, right? Plus all of Awaken ministry: Ben, Chloe, Eric, Chris, Gloria, Eddie, Connie, Scarlet, and Scott... (and all of our lovely teachers). I'm just grateful for the time that we could spend together, re-establishing old relationships, and just blessing Bryan형 too.

Saturday: Lunch with Susie, 박목사님&사모님; Study session with Scarlet, Scott, and Susie; Nice night run around Stanton (1.87 miles); and ended the night watching a $1 movie at Cinema 7 (Valerye)... and did I mention that Scarlet accepted JESUS as her Lord and Savior? ...

God, You are just overwhelming.
